The screen-printed design of the Côte d'Azur candle was inspired by elements of Thierry Larcher's design, such as the Negresco and the legendary Promenade des Anglais. We wanted to go further by incorporating architectural elements from the city of Menton and those of the city of Saint-Tropez. We imagine, in the hinterland, these umbrella pine forests and we dream of visiting the Maeght Foundation, located in the heights of Saint-Paul-de-Vence.

Olfactory Notes

Lemon - Sea Salt - Musk

Beyond being decorative, the Côte d'Azur candle offers an olfactory journey with citrus accents. Lemon accords in the top note, in homage to the famous lemons of Menton, sea salt in the middle note, in homage to the sea spray of the Mediterranean, and musk in the base note, to anchor this olfactory identity in a vegetal allure paying homage to the Grasse plantations.

Know-how

It all starts with the idea, that of a destination, a place, the memory of a setting, a happy moment. The power of creation is exercised and we decide to stylize a building, to revisit an abstract or figurative motif. The design takes shape and is then printed on a frame where natural pigments and precious metals will fill in the details of the pattern. The more colors there are in the design, the more frames there are that overlap. Finally, the final print can come to life on a biodegradable film that will be placed on the glass by hand, like a decal, and will become one with the glass after passing through a 600-degree oven.

Directions for use

The quality of our scented candles requires a specific burning ritual. During each burn, it is important to wait until the entire surface has liquefied before extinguishing the candle. This will prevent the formation of craters, which are unsightly and make burning more difficult. The first burn of your candle will always take longer than subsequent burns. Allow time for the first layer of wax to completely liquefy. The duration of this step varies depending on the size of the candle.

Also, be careful not to burn the last 2 cm of wax, as a flame burning against the glass can cause it to shatter. We also advise against throwing used matches into the wax.

Ingredients

Our scented candles are made with a blend of carefully selected fragrance agents, which may include essential oils (e.g., eucalyptus, perfume extracts) and fragrance components (e.g., benzyl salicylate, eucalyptol). The exact composition varies depending on the fragrance, and more specific information can be found on the individual product packaging. Some of our candles contain naturally occurring fragrance allergens that may cause reactions in sensitive individuals. These include eucalyptol (naturally occurring in Eucalyptus oil, may cause mild irritation), benzyl salicylate (common in floral fragrances, a potential allergen for sensitive skin), limonene (found in citrus oils, may cause sensitivity in some people), linalool (found in many floral and herbal scents, may cause mild irritation), geraniol (a component of Rose and Geranium oils, a potential skin sensitizer), citral (found in citrus oils, may cause allergic reactions in sensitive people), coumarin (used in warm and sweet scents, may be a mild allergen), and parfum extracts (a combination of fragrance ingredients, some of which may be potential sensitizers).
